Reading Tea Leaves

Trying to predict what will happen feels like reading tea leaves and looking for messages.

Mom asked for a psych eval? Does that mean she thinks she’s doing better?

They might add Pumpkin to his older sister’s TPR?

Oh, wait. Not yet.

Mom wants to go to doctor’s appointments with us?

But, only when a friend is available to drive her.

Mom hasn’t been writing back in our communication log.

But, came to sit next to me while waiting for court to start.

She sends lots of clothes for him to wear.

Sent a newborn sized onesie just last week?

The guardian-at-litem told me she is “not in the habit of sending the most vulnerable child back first.”

I am driving myself a little crazy trying to figure out what it all means.

    Universally maddening. And yet…

You’re doing great. Hang in there.
