Day One: Whirlwind! “I am prepared for this tornado. What preparation cannot save me, adrenaline will.”
Day Two: “I need to take her in public again? Tomorrow? By myself? I am going to regret this.” “What were we thinking???” Put Croi on stand-by to leave work early.
Day Three: “I’m exhausted.” “But, I will carry a screaming child out of McD’s.” So sad for her she couldn’t even enjoy her treat. Called Croi off stand-by.
Day Four: “We are in a groove. I could do this two-kid, stay-at-home-mom thing another day.”
Day Five: So much progress in five days. I think she is going to thrive at her auntie’s house. (Who moved so quickly just for her…)
*Our house is peaceful again. I pre-emptively called the placement team to ask for some regrouping time before our next call.
